2019 marks the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, a music festival held on a dairy farm in the Catskill Mountains northwest of New York City between August 15-18, 1969. Let's celebrate it, shall we?
One Pulse Entertainment presents Jenn Cristy (recorded and toured with John Mellencamp) and Eric Brown (star of many nationally touring productions) in this unique tribute to the music and artists who were at Woodstock. Jenn and Eric bring their high-energy, musically-virtuosic performance while bringing to life some of the greatest rock and roll music from the 60s. The night’s slate of music will draw from the artists who were at Woodstock (Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Santana, Grateful Dead, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Joe Cocker, and more!) and other artists and songs from the time who were represented through covers from the Woodstock stage such as the Beatles and Bob Dylan. This is a concert production dedicated to authentically re-creating the great music and performance from the greatest generation of rock and roll music!
Joining the "Sounds of the Summer of '69" crew for an extended opening set, Eighty-Sixt consists of Buddy and Billie Hart and their three sons, Logan Ziegler, Aaron Ziegler, and Conor Hart. They have been performing together for five years now and have played countless shows across the region. Ever the popular opening act at the Lincoln Amphitheatre, they have opened here for "Dirty Deeds - the AC/DC Experience" (2016), The Marshall Tucker Band (2016), "ZOSO - the Led Zeppelin Tribute" (2017), "KIST - a tribute to KISS" (2018), The Guess Who (2018), and they will open for Molly Hatchet in 2019.
Along with Eighty-Sixt on the twin opening bill is another Lincoln Amphitheatre favorite: The High Road. The High Road's bio describes this five-piece band perfectly: a good timin' band playing vintage rock n' roll and country/rock. And they do it very well. They have performed at the Lincoln Amphitheatre as openers for Eddie Money in 2016, "Hard Day's Night - a tribute to the Beatles" in 2017, and in 2018 as support for "7 Bridges - the Ultimate Eagles' Experience".
With something, literally, for every music lover as part of this amazing production and tribute, it will be a night of memorable songs, out-of-this-world performances, and more fun than should be allowed!
